In Celebration Of Our 10th Anniversary | Love To Dream

In May 2019 we were proud & extremely grateful to celebrate 10 years of LOVE TO DREAM™! To mark this significant 10th anniversary, we decided t0 give back to struggling Australian families, as our way of thanking each and every one of you that has supported us over the years and helped us to reach this huge milestone.

After finding out that due to extreme poverty, as many as 1 in 6 families* can't afford to provide basic necessities for their babies, including warm clothing and sleep garments, we felt compelled to help. This month we’re teaming up with fourteen amazing charities all around Australia and providing a donation of up to half a million dollars’ worth of swaddles, sleep bags and sleep suits to help keep babies around Australia warm this winter.

The first charity we began working with, is the amazing St Kilda Mums in Melbourne, and as parents ourselves we were really saddened to hear that currently one in six children in Victoria are born into poverty [i]. Children comprise 24.3% of all people living in poverty in Greater Melbourne and the proportion is even higher in the regional areas, at 29.2% [ii]. St Kilda Mums supports families experiencing extreme financial hardship by providing much-needed items, including clothing, prams, cots and toiletries.

Recipients include families escaping family violence, seeking asylum, and experiencing unemployment or homelessness. Founder and CEO of St Kilda Mums, Jessica Macpherson OAM, says our donation will make a huge difference to thousands of Victorian families in need.

Jessica confirmed that “Whenever we provide material aid to families it means that they are able to channel their finances to other necessities such as food and rent. This partnership with LOVE TO DREAM™ shows a vulnerable family that the community cares about them.”

Our founder and CEO, Hana and the team at LOVE TO DREAM™ came up with the idea of donating the sleep garments after being made aware of the difficult circumstances that thousands of families face while trying to meet their basic needs. As Hana explains; “With this donation we hope to help ensure that families experiencing financial hardship are able to keep their babies warm this winter and to raise awareness of the important work done by our country’s incredible charities,”

"Making a difference and giving back is a core value of LOVE TO DREAM™ and this significant initiative is an extension of our wider commitment to social responsibility as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary."

“We feel grateful and fortunate to have been able to deliver our mission over the past 10 years to help babies and parents achieve safer, better, longer sleep.“

“Good sleep is critical to a family's mental and physical health and that is why it's so important to us to reach out and support these families in need. Sharing the love is one of the core values that has driven our company since day one and being able to help so many families is only possible with the direct action of 14 amazing charity partners. We’re so grateful to them for enabling this initiative."

We are working with the following amazing charities around Australia who appreciate all donations and support. We encourage you to visit their websites, find out what they do and rally your friends and family to help support them. You could pay it forward by donating your much loved baby items to families in need.

A special thanks goes out to St Kilda Mums who put us in touch with charities around Australia and helped make this donation possible.
