RAINBOW SWADDLE UP™

To help celebrate 'Rainbow Babies' we are launched the Rainbow SWADDLE UP™ in September 2019 - with $5 from every purchase donated to the Pink Elephants Support Network.

Parents now have a new way to celebrate their Rainbow Baby, whilst honouring the babies they lost, thanks to our new Rainbow SWADDLE UP™. It aims to raise much needed funds for the Pink Elephants Support Network, a charity which supports parents through early miscarriage and pregnancy loss.

Early pregnancy loss affects a huge number of Australian couples. Sadly, one in four pregnancies end before 12 weeks. In Australia, 103,000 couples report a miscarriage every year. However, hope is at hand for those parents, as 80 per cent of women who experience a miscarriage will go on to experience a healthy pregnancy and deliver a Rainbow Baby.

Our founder and CEO, Hana-Lia Krawchuk met with Samantha Payne the Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Pink Elephants Support Network, and together, they came up with the idea of a Rainbow SWADDLE UP™ to support the wonderful work of The Pink Elephants Support Network and the significance of all rainbow babies.

As Hana explains; "This initiative, together with the support of our wonderful retailers, will help raise much needed funds for The Pink Elephants Support Network, so they can support more families experiencing loss, whilst at the same time helping parents celebrate their rainbow babies, providing a symbol of hope to other families.”

PREGNANCY LOSS AWARENESS MONTH

The launch has been planned to coincide with Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month in October, which helps raise awareness of pregnancy loss and the impact it has on millions of families each year worldwide, and International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day on October 15th. At 7pm on this day, bereaved parents take part in the ‘International Wave of Light’. A day where families across the globe are asked to light a candle in remembrance of their baby whose life was too short. Both occasions are a chance to honour babies lost too soon and to shine a light on a topic that isn’t openly talked about enough.

Samantha Payne describes the Rainbow SWADDLE UP™ as a "very special way to celebrate Rainbow Babies and honour those lost, while also raising funds to support couples experiencing loss."

"The Rainbow SWADDLE UP™ is such a beautiful way to celebrate our rainbow babies and honour our lost babies,"

"At the Pink Elephants Support Network we truly believe in the power of the Circle of Support. These swaddles embody that by celebrating special rainbow babies born to mums who have endured the heartache of pregnancy loss, while also giving back to mums who are currently suffering a loss.

"The funds raised through the sale of the Rainbow Swaddles will help us to reach even more women and their partners with the support they deserve during very difficult periods."
